Remi Bald Eagle is a South Dakota Native of the Mnicoujou Lakota of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, a 22-year Army veteran, and the Intergovernmental Affairs Coordinator of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. He was a Democratic Party candidate on the November 2020 ballot for the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission on a platform of protecting the water, air, land, and other natural resources that are both essential and beneficial to responsible economic development and quality of life for present and future generations.
